The have developers already designated their intentions to nerf 'Mutagens' game mode. And imagine my surprise when I did find out that actually you can participate in KoTH in 'Mutagens' game mode. I believed, I was 100% sure that 'Mutagens' mode would not allow you to participate in KoTH, because it's obviously unfair. Does the endgame revolve around mutagens mode? It feels like the game 'opens up' with mutagens and feels like making other modes obsolete. The mutagens mode does make for a much more fun experience, mainly because you have way more options to specialize. But the huge difference between struggling with progression to just destroying everything felt a bit off. This has left with some very mixed feelings: yes, it was awesome & satisfying to finally reach KotH, even defeating other players, and wrecking all the mobs/bosses doing so. Well, after watching a Twitch streamer wreck ♥♥♥♥ with mutagens mode, and going with the extra mutation altar perk, I decided to do the same just now: I went all out on attack speed and lifesteal mutations on tricksters, throwers and shooters, and wrecked ♥♥♥♥, totally destroying 2 players in KotH and got 1 rank (in a lower bracket? not sure how it works). There was some progression ofcourse, but reaching KotH still seemed so far off. All my runs were struggles, wondering how in the hell I could defeat the boss, let alone be able to hold my own in KotH.

During my 19 hours of playtime, I've only reached the boss once and only got half way to defeating his first form.
